Ridgewood Specialty Care is a skilled nursing and long-term care community providing compassionate, individualized care for our residents, while also caring for their family's well-being and peace of mind. We serve residents from Wapello County, Iowa, and many surrounding communities. We are committed to providing our residents with an active and engaging quality of life through daily programming, social and educational activities, and services that promote physical health, provide mental stimulation, increase engagement and help our residents thrive in a home-like setting. Care Initiatives is Iowa’s largest nonprofit provider of high-quality skilled nursing care, hospice care, assisted living, independent living, memory care and more. ✨Team Member Spotlight: Meet Amanda, Business Office Manager at Ridgewood Specialty Care!

When asked why she chose to become a Business Office Manager, Amanda shared:
“I have worked for Ridgewood Specialty Care since 2014 as a CNA, and I am very passionate about what I do for our residents. I feel a strong sense of responsibility to advocate for them in the position I hold. I truly enjoy coming to work, seeing our residents, and putting a smile on their faces.”

In 2002, Amanda joined the Army National Guard, where she served as a Human Resource Specialist. She later attended Indian Hills Community College and graduated with a degree as an Administrative Assistant.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her kids, listening to music, and cheering on her favorite football team, the Saints.

Thank you, Amanda, for everything you do for our residents and their families. We are grateful for your dedication and commitment! ✨
