A deficiency in vitamin D causes inadequate mineralization (AKA hardening) of your bones, which may result in bone pain and muscle tenderness. 🦴
Your shin bone (AKA tibia) is a weight-bearing bone so it may be more affected by pain than other bones.
Running your hands up and down your shins with light to medium pressure is a quick test that MAY indicate a deficiency.
❗️This test is only for fun and not accurately diagnosing anything. BUT if you have pain here - it might be time to request a vitamin D level from your practitioner! 😌
