Happy International Dog Day! 🐾

This International Dog Day, Dechra is celebrating the special bond between humans and dogs. We’re proud to play a role in advancing global animal health and welfare at Dechra. Today, we’re celebrating some of the heartwarming “tails” shared by our colleagues around the world—stories that remind us dogs aren’t just pets, they’re family.

From rescue stories that defy the odds to canine heroes who comfort, guide, and even save lives – let’s honor those hounds!

Some Dechra Dogs highlights:

🐶 Blake the ex-racing Greyhound has donated blood seven times, saving up to 28 other dogs. He’s an ambassador for Pet Blood Bank UK at Crufts and other events.

🐶 Husky Aero, an official AKC Canine Good Citizen, volunteers as a therapy dog at hospitals, nursing homes, and community events, spreading joy and tail wags wherever he goes!

🐶 Koda, a Husky-Shepherd mix, was discovered abandoned in a car park. Despite Koda being a troublesome puppy after being rescued, he’s now a reading therapy dog for children.

🐶 Fiona, a bull-breed, saved from euthanasia as a newborn, now lives life to the fullest despite her disability.
