Rounding out the week, meet Rhianna, whose passion for animals and people shines through in every interaction. She loves Dechra’s supportive culture and the impact she makes each day. 💙🐾

Q: What inspired you to become a vet tech?
A: I have always had a love for animals. I enjoy being around them and seeing the joy that they bring to their owners. The human animal bond is special, and you get to see that firsthand in the field of Veterinary Medicine.

Q: What is your favorite and/or most rewarding part of being a vet tech?
A: There are so many reasons I love this field. I love the passion of everyone who works in it. I genuinely care about animals and people. I enjoy forming relationships with pet owners and clinics and knowing that I can help others.

Q: Share one of your favorite memories or experiences as a veterinary technician at Dechra.
A: One of my favorite memories at Dechra was the March Meeting for the Med Affairs team down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. That was the first time I had met many of my colleagues in person since joining the company in February, and it was nice to connect with them face-to-face.

Q: Why do you enjoy working at Dechra?
A: The first thing that stood out to me was Dechra’s culture and values. I absolutely love the team I am part of and the work we do. Additionally, I enjoy helping the clinics and pet parents we serve. You can definitely tell that Dechra cares about its employees, and that says a lot.

Meet Stacey, VT, whose lifelong love of animals inspired her to advocate for pets and the people who love them. 💙 One of her most memorable experiences? Volunteering at spay/neuter clinics on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota. 🐾

Q: What inspired you to become a vet tech?
A: My lifelong love of animals and the desire to be an advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves, and to support the bond between humans and their beloved pets.

Q: What is your favorite and/or most rewarding part of being a vet tech?
A: They say that knowledge is power, and I enjoy being able to transfer the knowledge I’ve gained to help and empower others. I find it rewarding to continue to use my education/clinical experience to help veterinarians, support staff, and pet owners on a daily basis.

Q: Share one of your favorite memories or experiences as a veterinary technician at Dechra.
A: Volunteering as support staff for several years at spay/neuter clinics on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota was one of my most memorable and rewarding experiences.

A: The ability to have a work/life balance while maintaining a position in a field that I truly love and am passionate about.

With over 11 years at Dechra, Katie, CVT, loves sharing her knowledge and helping others understand Dechra’s products. She says Dechra empowers technicians to grow and thrive. 🌟🐾

Q: What inspired you to become a vet tech?
A: I've always really loved animals, but once I was allowed to get my first dog in 8th grade, it became pretty clear to me that I needed to spend as much time as possible learning about them.

Q: What is your favorite and/or most rewarding part of being a vet tech?
A: I love discussing animals all day and working with people who share that passion. It’s rewarding to speak with a veterinary professional or pet owner to help them better understand Dechra's products and how they can benefit their patients/pets.

Q: Share one of your favorite memories or experiences as a veterinary technician at Dechra.
A: After over 11 years with Dechra, picking one is a challenge! Some of my favorite memories revolve around securing new product approvals and launches, where we get to learn about a new product/disease process and then be the experts for our internal and external customers.

Julie, RVT, turned her passion for her first dog, Milo, into a career. Today, she likes tackling challenging cases and supporting veterinary professionals with knowledge, compassion, and care. 🐾💙

Q: What inspired you to become a vet tech?
A: I have always loved animals, but after adopting my first dog, Milo, and caring for, training, and helping him come out of his shell, it was what really inspired me to turn my passion for animals into a career.

Q: What is your favorite and/or most rewarding part of being a vet tech?
A: I love being a voice for the voiceless and using my training to better educate others on how to best care for their beloved family members. It’s also rewarding to help other veterinary professionals through difficult and challenging cases, quickly get them an answer, or just in some way make their day in a challenging field a little better.

Q: Share one of your favorite memories or experiences as a veterinary technician at Dechra.
A: Some of my favorite experiences have come from attending veterinary conferences for Dechra and connecting with my teammates and other professionals in the field.
