Spring is here! And your nervous system knows it.
More restlessness, more activation and more energy you don’t quite know what to do with. That’s your body responding to the season, not necessarily a sign that something is off. The good news? You have more control than you think.

Here are five simple tools to start tending to your nervous system this spring. Try one today and see what shifts. 🌿

Every part of you that feels too much, shuts down, or pushes people away? It developed for a reason. It was trying to keep you safe.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy approach that says we’re all made up of different “parts.” The one that gets defensive. The one that people pleases. The one that stays busy to avoid feeling. None of them are bad. They all showed up to protect you from something painful.

IFS helps you get curious about those parts instead of fighting them. And when you understand what they’re protecting, real healing becomes possible.

Start small: next time you notice a big reaction, get curious. Ask yourself “what part of me just showed up?” Insight is where change begins. ⛈️🦬

Inner child work isn’t just something that happens in a therapy session. It’s the small intentional choices to bring “younger you” into the life you’re building.

For me that looks like a lava lamp in my therapy office! It’s a daily reminder that younger me is still here, still part of this work, still worth making space for.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just find one thing younger you would think was really cool about your life now. That’s where you start.

What’s your lava lamp?

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. When someone shares their story, you don’t need perfect words. You just need to show up. 🤍

A bird flew off my front door wreath this morning just as I walked out. I looked up and saw three eggs I wasn’t expecting to find, and a moment that made me stop and wonder.

I talk about meaning-making with clients all the time, but today I needed the reminder myself.

If you’re in a season where the world keeps offering you moments you don’t know what to do with, this one’s for you.

We're celebrating Social Work Month by highlighting what you can expect when seeing one of our clinical social workers for therapy 💛

First, we don’t just see symptoms, we see people in context. As clinical social workers, we’re trained to look beyond the surface. Your relationships, culture, environment, stressors, systems, and lived experiences all matter. We don’t just ask “What’s wrong?” but “What happened?” and “What’s impacting you?” 💬

🌱 Therapy with a social worker means we’re holding space for your story while recognizing the bigger picture around you. Because healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum, it happens within the context of your life.

We’re proud to be part of a profession that centers human relationships, integrity, service, and competence, and honored to support our clients through a lens that is compassionate, person-centered, and grounded in social justice.
