I want to thank everyone for the support the last four and a half years. I will be closing my office this coming week, as I have accepted a position as a Military and Family Life Counselor and will soon be working with soldiers and their families. Looking forward to this next chapter in life and the opportunities that it will bring.

I just want to share a thought for the day. When we invest in ourselves and being healthy mentally, spiritually and physically; it provides increases in our personal happiness, peace and enjoyment of life. Sure a new shiny toy on the drive or a nice vacation, can provide a temporary distraction to ease our personal pain, but only when we are able to process and release whatever has us bound up inside, are we truly able to experience all the joy that God has in store for us.

Living in rural areas or small towns used to be a huge obstacle to overcome to receive mental health services. That's no longer the case if you have access to a computer and the internet, you have access to services.
