Meet the newest member of our team, Luke Howard, OD!

Dr. Howard is a proud Kansas native, born and raised in Wichita. He
earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washburn University. He went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2025. During his training, Dr. Howard gained extensive clinical experience managing a variety of ocular conditions including macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy while practicing at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Howard and his wife, Kati, share a strong passion for sports that was ignited while they were both involved in collegiate athletics. They enjoy cheering on the Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks together.

Dr. Howard looks forward to serving you and your family with personalized, quality eye care. Dr. Howard is now able to see patients on traditional Medicare and Eyemed as well as those who are private pay and he is in the process of being credentialed with the other insurances as well. Not only do we have a great staff...but we also have some amazing artists. 😎 🎨
This past Friday, our BMVA staff held it’s first annual “Paint-a-Buddy” staff party. This event was filled with lots of laughter as our staff drew portraits of each other. Our team even got an exclusive wine tasting courtesy of our very own sommelier, Dr. Jay! This was a great night celebrating the hard work and creativity of our amazing staff! ❤🤩
