Blonde Gray Silver Mix Topper Options
Finding the right color match for customers with a mix of blonde & gray, silver, or white bio hair can be tricky! There are a lot of options available for the brown/gray blends, but not much for the blonde ladies with gray or silver highlights.

Wigs cover all the hair, but a topper has to blend in with your bio hair in order to look natural.

A-List Wig Salon has options in synthetic and human hair. We can deal with some of the trickiest blends including:

- Gray hair that has yellowed over time due to hard water and mineral buildup.
- Hair that is white/gray/silver at the front and blonde in the back.
- Cool platinum blonde hair - not white or gray, but not blonde either.

PLEASE SHARE - Belle Madame Kira is a shattered, chin-length, wavy bob that checks all my boxes - lightweight, comfortable, and FUN! I'm pretty sure this is going to be my go-to wig this summer.

Belle Madame wigs from Hamburg, Germany are designed to extremely high standards and their synthetic fibers are like no other... they actually feel like real hair. Cap construction on every piece they make is impeccable. Belle Madame wigs generally run a bit smaller compared to US brands. If you're a petite, this brand has lots of options for you.

Kira Mono features an ear-to-ear lace front, a hand-tied full monofilament top that let's you part in any direction, and PU patches on the ear tabs which is a nice feature for those with complete hair loss. Lots of pretty colors to choose from too!

Kira is gorgeous as is, but even better if you style her with a headband, scarf, or other accessory.

When is a Topper NOT the Best Option
Many with thinning hair prefer a topper over a wig. But this isn't the best or safest option for everyone. We recommend wigs over toppers if any of the following apply:
- Hair is currently shedding.
- Hair is so thin that clips will put more tension on the hair follicle which would result in further hair loss or even bald spots.
- There is no safe place to clip at the front, sides, or back.
- Overly sensitive scalp.
The customer featured below has been wearing a topper throughout her hair loss journey. She came to us wanting to find a new topper. We tried on many base sizes with various clip configurations. No matter how large the base, there simply wasn't enough hair to safely clip in and provide a secure fit.
We advised her it was time to move to a wig and WOW did she pick a gorgeous one! She looks amazing!

Will health insurance cover the cost of your wig? In some instances, yes! Coverage varies from company to company based on your provider and plan.

Medical hair loss is due to a diagnosed condition such as alopecia, or medical treatments such as chemo (chemotherapy), surgery, medications, or disease.

Contact your health insurance provider and ask if cranial prosthesis is covered, what types are covered, how much cost will they cover, and what specific documentation they require. Your physician can provide you with a prescription with the proper medical procedure code.
