🛑 Ever feel like taking time off just isn’t worth it??

Like the mountain of work waiting when you get back will be even worse than just pushing through?

👋 Hey I’m Trent, a therapy for overachievers struggling with burnout and perfectionism.

Here’s the truth:

That “on top of everything” feeling? It’s an illusion.

Perfection and complete control over your workload aren’t just rare—they’re impossible.

When we hold onto the fantasy that one day we’ll finally reach a point where everything’s handled, where all the anxiety and uncertainty disappear, it’s easy to see why taking a break feels dangerous.

Like one step back will make everything fall apart.

But what if you could accept that some level of uncertainty and anxiety always exists, in all work and in all life?

Learning to live with that—without letting it consume you—might actually be the key to real resilience.

It’s not about working until the stress disappears; it’s about learning to let yourself rest, even when the work feels unfinished.

✨ Ready to let go of that perfection trap? Share this with someone who needs to hear it today, and save it for when the urge to push through gets too strong. ✨

Ever feel like no matter how much you accomplish, it’s never quite enough?

That’s a sign you might be stuck in the overworking cycle.

This cycle runs deeper than just having too much on your plate—it’s often about what drives the need to constantly be doing more.

Whether it’s guilt when you rest, saying yes to everything, or always waiting for the next achievement to feel worthy, these patterns can leave you feeling disconnected from what you truly need. It’s time to reflect, reconnect with yourself, and break free.

💡 Save this post as a reminder to pause and ask yourself: What’s really behind my drive to overwork?

Sound familiar?? 😅

These little ‘quick checks’ often pull us into a time warp, especially when hustle culture tells us every spare moment should be productive.

But here’s the thing—burnout doesn’t come with a warning; it creeps in through all these small, overextended moments that add up fast.

👋 Hey I’m Trent, a therapist for over achievers who struggle with burnout and perfectionism. This is so common with so many of my clients.

Imagine if you could pause before diving in, protecting that time for what really matters.

Not every email needs an immediate response, and sometimes ‘later’ is the healthiest answer you can give yourself.

You don’t need to have everything figured out today.

Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is just pause and be.

It’s easy to get caught up in constantly trying to do more—but rest matters too.

Take a moment for yourself today. You don’t have to keep pushing.
Share this with someone who could use the reminder. ✨

Does this sound like you?? 😖

Working nonstop, feeling undervalued at work, stuck in ruminating thoughts about your future, avoiding difficult conversations with family, and never finding time for yourself—you’re probably exhausted and wondering why happiness feels so far out of reach.

You’re driven, ambitious, and constantly pushing to do more, but that same drive is leaving you overwhelmed and disconnected from yourself.

Maybe you’re caught up in proving your worth through your work, hoping that the next promotion or achievement will finally bring you peace.

But the more you push, the more you feel stuck.

👋 Hey I’m Trent, a therapist for over-achievers struggling with burnout and perfectionism.

It’s not about doing more—it’s about learning how to do less in a way that supports your well-being.

It’s about finding the courage to have the hard conversations you’ve been avoiding, and recognizing that your value doesn’t come from overworking or overcommitting.

Happiness doesn’t come from checking off the next box—it comes from creating space for yourself, setting boundaries that honor your energy, and letting go of the pressure to be perfect.

✨ Take a moment to ask yourself: What’s one way you can slow down, breathe, and prioritize yourself this week?

It’s frustrating, right??? 😖

You’ve been resting, setting limits, practicing self-care—yet something still feels off.

No matter what you do, burnout keeps creeping back in, and you’re exhausted from running in circles.

I see this all the time with high-achievers. Burnout isn’t just about needing more rest or better boundaries.

For many, it’s deeper—it’s about the belief that you have to constantly prove yourself.

➡️ Is your worth tied to productivity?

➡️ Does slowing down make you anxious because what if you fall behind—or worse, others think you’re less capable?

That pressure to always be “on” is exhausting, and it’s likely the hidden reason burnout keeps returning.

Here’s the thing: boundaries are only half the battle. If the belief that your worth is tied to achievement isn’t addressed, no amount of self-care will be enough to break the burnout cycle.

That’s where therapy comes in. I work with high-achievers not just to cope with burnout, but to dig deeper and shift the patterns that keep them stuck.

Together, we’ll explore what’s really driving your need to prove yourself and how to create lasting change.

If you’re ready to stop running on empty, I’d love to help. Let’s break the burnout cycle.

😅 Ever catch yourself scrolling and feeling like everyone else has it all figured out?

It’s so easy to get caught up in the illusion that everyone on social media is effortlessly confident, constantly succeeding, and never struggling.

But here’s the reality: no one has it all together, and behind every polished post is a journey full of self-doubt, missteps, and uncertainty.

👋 Hey I’m Trent, a therapist for over-achievers who struggle with burnout and perfectionism. I hear it all the time from my clients: this constant feeling of “being behind.” It’s exhausting, isn’t it?

What if, instead of chasing perfection, you started embracing the messy process?

Growth doesn’t happen when everything’s smooth—it happens when you lean into the discomfort, question yourself, and push through the moments when you feel totally lost.

Next time you feel the pressure to “have it all together,” remember: the uncertainty, the trial and error—that’s where you’re growing the most.

➡️ SAVE this reel and use it as a reminder to check in with yourself the next time you feel like you’re falling behind.

That feeling when you’ve mastered the art of looking like you have it all together but deep down you’re running on empty. 😅

If you’ve ever felt like burnout is just… who you are now, you’re not alone.

So many of us have gotten so good at juggling deadlines, over-delivering at work, and seeking that next hit of external validation that we’ve forgotten how to pause.

But here’s the thing—burnout isn’t your personality.

It’s a reaction to living in a constant state of overdrive, fueled by the need to prove yourself.

It’s time to understand why this cycle keeps happening.

What if your perfectionism and constant need for validation aren’t actually part of who you are, but a pattern you’ve learned?

A pattern you can break.

As a kid, being “good” or “perfect” probably helped you feel loved and valued.

It gave you control and recognition when things felt uncertain. But now, that same drive to please others and prove your worth is leaving you burnt out, overwhelmed, and disconnected from yourself. 😓

At work, you’re always pushing to hit every target, trying to be the one who has it all together.

But deep down, you’re exhausted, wondering why it’s never enough. You say yes to everything—more projects, more responsibilities—because saying no feels like failure.

It’s the same at home, where you’re trying to keep the peace and make sure everyone else is happy, leaving little space for you.

Here’s the thing: pleasing and achieving might have helped you navigate childhood, but it’s not serving you the same way as an adult.

You can learn new ways to exist—ones that don’t leave you feeling depleted and resentful.

Are you always trying to prove you’ve got it all together? 🤯

If your go-to move when things feel out of control is to work harder and push yourself even more… you’re not alone.

The pressure to be perfect and stay ahead can feel overwhelming. But what happens when all that effort leads to burnout, anxiety, and the sense that no matter how much you accomplish, it’s never quite enough?

👋🏼 Hey I’m Trent, a therapist who helps high-achievers who struggle with perfectionism and burnout. I see this pattern in so many of my clients.

Here’s the thing: perfectionism isn’t really about being perfect—it’s about trying to avoid feeling vulnerable by controlling how others see you.

But the more you try to prove yourself, the deeper you get stuck in that cycle of overworking, exhaustion, and self-criticism.

So, how do you break free? Start by asking yourself:

✨What would happen if you didn’t try to keep it all together?
✨What if you gave yourself permission to rest, make mistakes, and show up as you are?

It’s about redefining success in a way that actually works for you.

✨ Pro tip: The next time you feel the need to prove yourself, pause. Ask yourself, “Am I doing this to meet my own standards, or someone else’s?”

We’ve all been there—burnout creeping in even when you think you’re doing everything right.

Sometimes the issue isn’t how much rest you’re getting, but the pressure to constantly achieve.

If you’re finding it hard to feel fulfilled despite your best efforts, it’s worth asking yourself:

What am I really trying to prove?

High-achievers, it’s okay to pause and redefine what balance looks like for you.

Save this as a reminder that self-care isn’t just about doing less—it’s about understanding the deeper patterns behind the need to always do more.

INFORMATION =/= AWARENESS

Information about relationships and emotions is not the same as developing self awareness.

Sometimes, all that information keeps you from actually connecting with your feelings and experiences. It feels safer to intellectualize, to stay in your head, and avoid the complexity of your emotions.

If you’ve been relying on books to understand your emotions, you might be intellectualizing them rather than experiencing them.

This can happen when it feels safer to analyze and “figure out” your emotions instead of sitting with them, especially if you’ve spent years pushing your feelings down out of fear they’re too much or might lead to rejection.

Emotional and relational awareness means moving beyond the knowledge. Real change comes when you stop thinking about your feelings and start feeling them.

When you stop looking for answers in books and start tuning into what’s happening in your body, your relationships, and your inner world, you’ll begin to connect with yourself in a way that reading alone can’t provide.

Feeling stuck in this pattern? Therapy can help you bridge the gap between intellectual understanding and genuine emotional connection.
