We met some new friends with Doyle Auction at the NASMM Conference who let us know the price of gold is at an all-time high! Over $2600 per ounce!

The other fun update that rounded off Q3 for us was going to the NASMM 2024 Conference in Chicago! 🏙️🛫

NASMM is the National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers and is the leading organization and accrediting body for move managers. Members of NASMM must pass the initial Cornerstone courses, hold liability insurance, have a live website, and abide by the code of ethics set forth by the NASMM Ethics Compliance Commission. These requirements set the standards and expectations for move managers to ensure quality care and guidance for all clients.

We had the opportunity to meet, network, and brainstorm with other move managers from Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Philly, Boston, Florida, even Canada! And many more. 🌎

It is a true meeting of the minds and we are so grateful to learn from those who have paved the way for decades, and to connect with those who are just getting started. We are proud NASMM members and can’t wait to implement new strategies and goals for 2025! ⚡️

(Our brains were busy absorbing everything we didn’t take any photos! 🤦🏻‍♀️🫠 …there’s always next year!)

Participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s over the weekend at the National WWI Museum in downtown KC. Year 2 in joining Tracy’s Edward Jones team “Wittner’s Walkers” and we were honored to be part of the fight!

📈 In the U.S. alone there are nearly 7 million people living with Alzheimer’s, and more than 11 million Americans are providing unpaid care for those living with Alzheimer’s/other dementias.

This is close to our hearts as we’ve helped many families transition & move loved ones that are living with dementia, and have friends and family of our own that have been deeply affected by this disease. 💜

Senior Move Services stayed busy this summer helping many families, but the owners David and McKenna also stayed busy planning their WEDDING! 🎉💙

August 30th was an incredible day to say the least. Starting as best friends to significant others, then becoming business partners, and now husband and wife!

Such a resourceful, communicative go-getter that we would recommend to any of our clients. Selling a home & downsizing can sometimes require multiple expertise such as auctioneers, estate sales, estate liquidation, home repairs and more - and joining the Taylor-Made Team on this project was the key to the success! ✨

One of the weekend to-do’s included dropping off our gently used books to Friends of the Library - Johnson County 📚♥️

If you have a collection of old books on the shelves that are no longer being used but collecting dust, you’re in luck! Every Saturday morning (weather permitting) from 9-11am Friends of the Library accepts gently used books, textbooks, cookbooks, DVDs, CDs, even complete puzzles.

Ice and snow are the obvious culprits, but did you know the grime on your sidewalks and driveways can lead to a slippery fall just the same? Cleaning these walkways is a great option to preventing injuries and enjoying those spring days at home!

Thank you to Silvercrest at Deer Creek Senior Living for allowing us to help set up for the first annual Snow Ball. The residents were so excited and we feel lucky to have played our little part.

Being stuck inside during a Winter Wonderland like today makes for a great time to start a donation box/bin!

Start somewhere small such as a bathroom or linen closet, and work your way to the areas that are more dense like kitchens and bedroom closets.

Things to think about 💡
Do you have repeats of a certain item?
Have some sheets and towels you haven’t used in a few years?
Expired products/supplements/medicine/make up?
Old decor you’re ready to part ways with?
