Exciting leadership news at Colonial Village!
Please join us in welcoming Amber Abby as our new Executive Director, serving both Colonial Village and Westchester Village of Lenexa, effective May 1, 2026.
Amber brings a strong background in healthcare leadership and a true passion for making a difference in the lives of residents and families. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, she moved to Kansas in 2020 to pursue her goal of becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator—and has played a key role in the growth & success of seven senior living communities.
Her journey in healthcare started at just 16 years old as a Certified Nursing Assistant, shaping her resident-first approach that still guides her leadership today. Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas Lutheran University and a Master of Health Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside healthcare leaders to improve care and create meaningful impact across diverse communities.
Outside of work, Amber enjoys cooking, shopping, event planning, and volunteering. She is excited to be part of the Colonial Village family and continue making a difference for those we serve.
