The Epsten Gallery for the Arts at Village Shalom was filled with community, conversation, and reflection last night as more than 50 guests attended the opening of gerry trilling: a celebration of art, featuring the work of artist Gerry Trilling.

Guests were warmly welcomed by Howard Trilling, adding a deeply personal and meaningful touch to the evening. Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating art, memory, and connection.

Last night, our residents were the champions of the red carpet! Dressed to impress, they walked the runway, posed for the “paparazzi,” and enjoyed a glamorous evening filled with appetizers, a fancy dinner, and dessert. At Village Shalom, we celebrate our everyday champions—on the red carpet and beyond.

🍎🍪 Cooking, Learning, and Connection in the Kitchen 🍪🍎

We were grateful to welcome Chef Danny from the Culinary Judaics Academy to cook alongside our residents for a meaningful, hands-on experience. While making apple date cookies together, Chef Danny shared insights about the traditions and themes of Tu B’Shevat, helping residents connect food, learning, and Jewish values in a warm and engaging way.

The Girson Social Hall was filled with learning, laughter, and the warm smells of fresh-baked cookies—proving once again that food has a beautiful way of bringing tradition, community, and joy together. 💚

Dorothee Schulz swims 40 minutes every day in our warm water pool in the Wellness Center. It keeps her strong, energized, and connected.

Chair yoga in our Wellness Center is a wonderful way for residents to build strength, reduce stress, and support better sleep. Every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., you’ll find residents coming together to focus on both mind and body.

Our skilled yoga instructor thoughtfully adapts each session to meet the needs of residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing, ensuring everyone can participate safely and confidently.
