We are SO proud to announce our Joseph Eleanor Wolff Award winner for their excellence in caregiving. This award was set up in 2007 by Eleanor's three sons to honor the exceptional care their mother received at Village Shalom. Daniel Delgado, was recently awarded this block award as one of our two team members annually.
He lives the mission of Village Shalom, along with exhibiting kindness, patience, compassion, and understanding. Multiple of our leadership individuals got up to speak on behalf of Daniel, as he embodies the spirit of the Wolff award. He is an outstanding CNA, volunteers in our development office, helps with various projects across campus, and is just the kindest individual. We are SO proud to have him here in our Village.

Rookie of the Month - July 2025 is Hannah Bass!

Hannah is one of our care team members and works in one of our skilled nursing neighborhoods. Cristal Hernandez, our Director of Nursing shared that when she first met Hannah she was asking her about how she could make a flower garden for our residents. From the time she started here earlier this year, Hannah is always looking to make the lives of our residents better and do things that they enjoy. She is great at motivating residents is a positive way when helping them with cares and we greatly appreciate everything she does here for our residents. 🙂 ♥

Employee of the Month - July 2025 is Viktoriya Ahmad!

Viktoriya is one of our fantastic care team members, primarily found working on our Wallace neighborhood. If you have come for a rehab stay here, you most likely have been cared for by her. She is a fantastic team player and is crucial on our weekend crew. Amanda Hill described Viktoria as a gem, someone who helps our residents feel comfortable and confident here in their rehab stays, residents look forward to being cared for by Viktoria and we are proud to have her on our team.

Oh has it been such a beautiful summer week to spend outside!! Our Memory Support group headed out for a picnic with friends and family at Lake Lenexa for some fresh air and nature sightings. Everyone loved watching a chunky local raccoon help himself to some snacks in the trash can before running off with them to the woods. Of course, our residents wanted to make sure we snapped a good photo of our furry friend to show people when we got home. 😄 🦝 🗑

We LOVE making resident requests a possibility!! Residents from Assisted Living requested we head out to Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews for lunch, so we did just that. The bus was filled with friends from our various skilled nursing and assisted living neighborhoods for a wonderful outing. We enjoyed delicious food and it was the just the perfect afternoon to get out of the house. 😁 🍔 🍟🥤
