Welcome Casey Hertzenberg, MD, a leader in cardiothoracic surgery, to Midwest Heart and Vascular Specialists in Kansas City, MO and Overland Park, KS. He is affiliated with Research Medical Center and Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Hertzenberg’s interest in medicine began shortly after being diagnosed with a rare heart arrhythmia as a teenager. He received a minimally invasive, curative ablation. Later, he fostered that curiosity by working as a nurse aide where he had the fortune of being assigned to the cardiac unit. Dr. Hertzenberg was ultimately able to observe open heart operations and discovered his passion for cardiothoracic surgery.

We will be offering in person at Centerpoint Medical Center and virtually. If you want CE credit virtually, you will have to log in individually and not as one group. We must show timed participation by each individual to award CE. We look forward to your participation!

To celebrate National First Responders Day in a meaningful way, we taught members of the community hands-only CPR and how to use an AED. Our hope is that when first responders arrive on scene, they are met with more people who have started chest compressions so that you have a viable patient to work on.
Your EMS Liaisons and Outreach Director are happy to help our EMS partners by spreading awareness of this lifesaving skill!
