Nutrition can be tough. For others, it’s exercise that feels impossible. But real change comes when both come together.

Longevity and overall health is buzzing, and here is all you need to know: MUSCLES

It’s not about body fat. It’s about lack of lean mass. You can lose all the fat you want, but what needs to happen to be healthy and resilient to life is the building of muscles. Not only do they look pretty, but their functional capacity is awe-inspiring.

Key point: your brain calls on your muscles to move your bones to live your life. Here’s all the things in the simplest form (as if the aforementioned isn’t enough):

-muscles: herein lies your metabolic health as muscle simply burns more calories at rest than fat, and thus follows a domino effect of epic proportions in only good ways

-muscles: they help regulate blood sugar

-muscles: they keep your joints healthy and reduce inflammation (vital as we age)

-muscles: they house your immunity, in multiple capacities

-muscles: when you get sick, your body retrieves essential nutrients from them to fight the scary stuff

-muscles: they keep cortisol in check – vital during peri-menopause and beyond

Go find something heavy to lift – it will drastically change the course of the rest of your life.

This Saturday morning community you have created has morphed into so many good things, and added motivation, multi-level strength and possibilities to so many lives. It most certainly changed mine.

It’s not about the building, Boss. It’s about the people. And we’re moving together.
