Looking at our shelves, you can imagine our supplies won't last long.

Most needed items include:

🍍 Canned Fruits & Veggies - mixed veggies, carrots & pineapple

Please consider adding a few items to your shopping cart next time you're on Amazon (https://amzn.to/3XH5v7Z). Thank you in advance for your kindness and help!

💜 Spread the Love Now! 🥜💜
Each month, more than 500 jars of peanut butter are distributed through the JFS Food Pantry. JFS hosts its annual “Spread the Love” Food Drive to stock the shelves in its food pantry with peanut butter, jelly and other spreadables—and we need your help! Please donate peanut butter, honey and other non-perishable spreadables in designated barrels at the Jewish Community Center and the JFS Brookside office. Other ways to donate can be found at jfskc.org/spread-the-love. For more ways to help, please email volunteer@jfskc.org.

The JFS Counseling Team currently has openings for new therapy clients.

Licensed clinicians are trained in trauma-informed care and take a whole-person approach that prioritizes safety, trust and understanding. Counseling services are available for individuals ages 5 and older, and everyone in the community is welcome regardless of faith, age, culture or identity.

Counseling is provided on a fee-for-service basis. JFS offers a sliding scale and confidential financial assistance to ensure support remains accessible to everyone.

JFS offers both in-person and virtual appointments to fit clients’ schedules and comfort. In-person sessions are available at JFS’s Brookside and The J office locations.

For Jewish students attending the University of Kansas, there is mental health support from JFS in Lawrence.

More information is available at (913) 327-8250 or info@jfskc.org.

Three Easy Ways to SPREAD THE LOVE:
1. Donate - Each month, the JFS Social Work Supported Pantry distributes approximately 500 jars of peanut butter. Jelly, ranch dressing, and ketchup are also very popular. Your gift today will “spread” further, so the pantry can buy these costly items in bulk! Donate Here >>> https://jfskc.org/donate-now-and-spread-the-love/

2. Shop - Purchase peanut butter, jelly, and other spreadables while you're out and about on your weekly grocery run. Drop items in the JFS donation barrels in the lobby of the J or at JFS Brookside.

3. Click & Shop - Shop the JFS food pantry's Amazon Wish List to stock the shelves with the most needed spreadables and other items. Items are delivered directly to the JFS pantry! Shop Here >>> https://bit.ly/4amgETH

JFS staff and volunteers packed boxes for clients of Jewish Vocational Service (JVS), Kansas City who have been impacted by changes in SNAP benefits. JFS and JVS worked together to identify foods that would be appreciated by JVS refugee clients including spices and dried fruits. JFS will continue to support JVS clients with fresh produce and non perishable food as a result of lost government benefits.

Interested in helping pack boxes? Contact volunteer@jfskc.org to volunteer to help!
