Eclipse day was spent treating Amish and Mennonites in Jamesport! Every day I spend there feels special, but this week I saw a freshly born foal, so adorable! The hindquarters are showing roan colors, which are the hot color this year, I'm told. If you look closely, you'll be able to see how fresh this foal was.

For the eclipse, I did not expect to have time to see it, but it turned out I did. Three Amish ladies, their driver and I shared 2 pairs of glasses. I think it was even better than having our own. It was an experience I'll remember!

At a Mennonite community today. I guess my tire was going flat. Halfway through the afternoon, someone came and told me that a man was repairing my flat tire for me! It wasn't quite finished when I got done for the day, but I am not complaining! I am so impressed by the kindness and generosity I meet when I'm traveling to treat patients.

Wish I had taken pictures of all the tomatoes, pears, zucchini, okra, green beans, onions I've received from Amish/Mennonite gardens. Nothing beats homegrown produce!
