Most practices think of credentialing as an administrative function.
It isn't. It's a revenue function with an administrative disguise.

Every day a new provider isn't fully credentialed is a day they can't bill. Every lapsed recredentialing cycle creates an enrollment gap that can take months to fix. Every missed CAQH attestation is a payer relationship quietly at risk.

The practices that treat credentialing like paperwork find out the hard way that it was always about cash flow.

The ones that treat it like revenue protection, with real tracking, automated alerts, and a team that knows every deadline, don't have that problem.

HRG manages the full credentialing lifecycle. Because credentialing isn't admin work. It's revenue work.

When a biller leaves, here's what actually happens:

The first week, everyone assumes someone else is watching the queue. The second week, claims start aging. By month two, there's a denial backlog nobody has fully mapped. By month three, you're onboarding a replacement and hoping the damage is recoverable.

This is one of the most common and least discussed revenue problems in independent practices. Staff turnover doesn't just cost you a salary. It costs you months of clean billing.

HRG clients don't have this problem. Not because billers never leave β€” but because when they do, the account doesn't leave with them. Your dedicated account manager, your workflows, your A/R history β€” all of it stays intact.

Stability isn't a feature most practices think to ask for. It's usually the one they wish they'd had.

Here's a stat that doesn't get talked about enough:

Most credentialing companies will tell you they handle hospital privileging. Very few will tell you their approval rate.

HRG's is 100%.

Not "we have a strong track record." Not "we rarely have issues." Every single hospital privilege application we've submitted has been approved.

That matters because a denied or delayed privilege application doesn't just create paperwork. It means a provider can't work. Patients get rescheduled. Revenue stops. And the fix (appeals, resubmissions, committee reviews) takes months you don't have.

If your practice is adding a provider or expanding hospital affiliations, this is the part of credentialing that can't afford a learning curve.

Things eClinicalWorks practices shouldn't have to explain to their billing team:

β€” How charge capture works in eCW
β€” Where to find the claim edit queue
β€” Why the reporting looks different from other platforms
β€” What the posting patterns mean
β€” How to work the A/R buckets without creating a bigger mess

If you're spending time orienting your billing vendor instead of getting answers from them, that's not a partnership. That's tutoring.
HRG works inside eClinicalWorks every day. We already know how it works.

Happy Earth Day. 🌍

In the spirit of reducing waste β€” here are a few things medical practices could afford to stop throwing away:

πŸ’Έ Revenue lost to preventable denials
⏳ Hours spent chasing billing vendors for answers
πŸ“‹ Claims that age out because nobody worked the queue
πŸ” Staff time restarting the same payer conversation from scratch

HRG works inside your existing EHR system. No redundant platforms. No wasted logins. Just your billing, done correctly, inside the system you already have.

Reduce waste. Collect more. It's good for everyone.

Here's something a lot of FQHCs learn the hard way:
HRSA audit readiness isn't something you build when an audit is coming. It's something you either have β€” or you don't.
HRG has worked with FQHCs through the entire process, from getting FQHC status approved to staying compliant year after year. We've prepped documentation, sat in on HRSA reviews, and kept enrollments current so nothing falls through the cracks.
Jessica Poveda, who worked with us at FAU Community Health Center for over 15 years, said HRG's guidance was integral to consistently favorable audit outcomes.

It's Stress Awareness Month.

In honor of that, here are 5 signs your billing is quietly stressing you out:

1. You check your collections and then immediately close the tab.
2. Your billing vendor's last update was "we're working on it."
3. You don't actually know what your denial rate is right now.
4. Someone on your team left six months ago and you're still not sure what fell through the cracks.
5. You've thought "I should really look into this" about your A/R at least three times this month.

No judgment. This is genuinely common.

HRG works inside your EHR, runs weekly A/R reviews, and gives you answers β€” not updates.

Unpopular opinion: your billing vendor should be able to answer these questions in under 60 seconds.

β€” What are my top denial reasons right now?
β€” What's my first-pass resolution rate?
β€” What changed in my A/R last month and why?

Not "let me pull that report for you." Not "I'll follow up by end of week."
Under 60 seconds. Because if your billing team is working your account daily, those answers should already be in their head.

If that's not the experience you're having, that's not a billing problem. That's an accountability problem.

Five signs your podiatry billing might be working against you:

1. Your biller submits wound care claims without flagging documentation gaps first.
2. DME and orthotic billing gets treated the same as every other claim type.
3. Nobody on your billing team can explain your top denial reasons by payer.
4. Diabetic foot care claims go out the door and you just... hope for the best.
5. You found out about an audit risk from the payer β€” not your billing team.

Any of those land? You're not alone. Podiatry billing is genuinely complicated and most general billing shops aren't built for it.

HRG works inside your system, reviews claims before they go out, and actually knows the difference between a clean podiatry claim and one that's going to cause problems in six months.

Here's what specialty-specific billing covers:

Find out how podiatry coding and billing works. Learn how avoiding denials can improve your revenue cycle.

April is Stress Awareness Month.

So let's talk about the specific kind of stress that hits at 4 PM on a Friday when you realize your A/R report raises more questions than it answers.

Or the stress of calling your billing vendor and getting a different person every time. One who has to "look into it" before they can tell you anything.

Or the stress of not knowing if last month was actually a slow month or if claims are just sitting somewhere, aging quietly.

That kind of stress doesn't show up in a wellness article. But practice owners know exactly what it feels like.

HRG works inside your system. Weekly A/R reviews with real answers. A dedicated account manager who already knows your file when you call.

It won't fix everything. But your revenue cycle doesn't have to be one of the hard things.

If your billing team doesn't live inside eClinicalWorks every single day, they're probably missing things. Not because they're careless. But, because eCW is its own world. The workflows, the reporting, the claim edits.

A generic billing shop treats it like any other system. That's where the cracks form.

HRG works directly inside eClinicalWorks. Your system. Your data. Real-time visibility with no extra logins or confusing reports sent over as PDFs.

Curious what that difference actually looks like in your A/R? Start here:

Ever feel like your billing is just... happening somewhere β€” and you're not totally sure what's going on?

You're not alone. A lot of practice owners we talk to are getting reports, but not answers. They can't quickly tell you their top denial reasons, their first-pass rate, or why A/R crept up last month.

That's not a billing problem. That's an accountability problem.

HRG works directly inside your EHR system β€” no separate logins, no PDF summaries that raise more questions than they answer. Just your billers, in your system, with weekly reviews you can actually understand.
Want to see what that looks like for your practice? Andy can walk you through it.
