Our outpatient therapy staff is dedicated to excellence in patient care quality and delivery. We provide patients with a full spectrum of effective, outpatient rehabilitative care from physical therapy to sports medicine and workman's comp rehabilitation. By utilizing the latest and most efficient treatment methods that meet your specific problem, we can guarantee your success! From the moment you enter the clinic, you will notice the caring environment and the genuine concern we have for getting to know our patients and meeting their personal health goals. That is why we are proud to be the clinic where patients come when they have failed with conventional therapy at other facilities. At Performance Rehab we will not just chase pain, but rather will fix the root of the problem and educate you on how to keep it from returning. Whether your condition was caused by a sport, work, accident or otherwise, we welcome the chance to serve you. Our unique therapeutic approach by our friendly and knowledgeable staff is what sets us apart from any other physical therapy clinic in Kansas City. We are proud to be a member of the Kansas City medical community, and we welcome the opportunity to treat you.

Women’s Health Week is a great opportunity to highlight pelvic floor therapy and the role it can play in overall function, movement, and quality of life.

Pelvic floor therapy can help address symptoms related to pregnancy and postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, bladder or bowel dysfunction, core weakness, and more.

Our therapists use a specialized, individualized approach to help patients improve function, reduce discomfort, and feel more confident in their daily activities.

Meet Katie Wiedeman, OTD, OTR/L.

Katie is part of our team at 119th & Quivira, where she provides occupational therapy with a special interest in hand therapy and custom orthosis fabrication. She enjoys working with a variety of upper extremity conditions and brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to patient care.

When she’s not in the clinic, you can usually find her baking, gardening, or spending time outdoors with her family.

With a focus on the hand and upper extremity, our occupational therapists address limitations in strength, mobility, and function through a more specialized, hands-on approach. It’s a key part of helping patients move and use their hands more effectively throughout recovery.

A recent feature by Roo News highlights an important conversation around the lack of athletic training support for dancers.

We’re proud to see our PT, Kendra Gage, recognized for the work she does with dancers at the UMKC Conservatory, providing guidance, care, and support where it’s needed most.

Through our Performing Arts Medicine program, Performance Rehab is committed to helping performers stay strong, supported, and performing at their best.
