Some of you might see these pictures and not understand the full story, and that’s okay. It’s very difficult for me to explain the feeling of harvesting your 1st western big game animal that’s going to provide both food and nourishment for me, my family, and friends. As most of you know my health journey over the last couple years have been really tough; 3 surgeries within 3 years has pushed me to learn more about my body and about what I put in it. Food is medicine. Food heals, and harvesting my own meat and challenging myself at the same time, just seemed like the right solution for me. To have this connection with my food, has forever changed me. It makes me want to be a better human. The knowledge that I’ve gained on this trip is priceless. The experience and the “hands on” opportunities from beginning to end, is the ONLY way I want to eat. This is now my way of life and im so excited to continue to learn and grow. Special thank you to

2 epic weekends of hunting pheasants in South Dakota and in the books. Had the best time with my 2 favorite hunting buddies, Solo 🐾and . 31 Birds are filleted and frozen and ready to eat for the year. I love this hunt so much! Cant wait till next year.
