Be honest…

Have you ever walked into a room and thought:
“Everyone else knows what they’re doing except me.”

Meanwhile… you’re the one people come to for advice 😅

That’s imposter syndrome.

Not because you’re not capable
but because your brain is trying to keep you safe.

Growth can feel like danger when you’re not used to being seen. ⬅️

✨Read that again.✨

If this hit… this is your sign to stop and reframe!

Last week included:
• Hosting at the Matrikas maternal health event
• Speaking with high school students about mental health
• Supporting clients in session
• Attending the Somatic Summit to deepen my work in trauma healing
• Cycling class (because therapists need nervous system care too)
• Releasing a new podcast episode on trauma and resilience

This work goes far beyond the therapy room.
It’s about education, community, and creating spaces where healing becomes possible.

Grateful for every conversation and every person trusting me with their story.

The future of women’s health isn’t built in isolation.
It’s built through collaboration.
Honored to host the Kansas City Matrikas National Provider Meet-Up, where incredible professionals came together to connect, build referral pathways, and strengthen the support available for women in our community.
When providers know each other, trust each other, and collaborate—women receive more compassionate, coordinated care.
This is the kind of community we’re building. 💫

Anxiety often looks like:
• overthinking every decision
• feeling like you have to do everything perfectly
• never fully being able to relax
• always preparing for the “what if”
On the outside, many people look successful and capable.
But internally their nervous system is working overtime.
I had the honor of joining Mark DeLuca on the Find Me Podcast to talk about anxiety, trauma, and the invisible ways our nervous system tries to protect us.
As a trauma-informed therapist, my work focuses on helping people move from survival mode → to safety → to confidence.
Because anxiety isn’t a personal failure.
It’s often the nervous system doing the best it can with what it learned.
Thank you Mark for creating space for these important conversations.

The room felt like this…

✨ women laughing
✨ women connecting
✨ women lifting each other up

Just women supporting women.

I’m so grateful for partners like shopladyco and the amazing caitfore who helps women step into their confidence through personal style. It was such a beautiful reminder that when women come together with the intention to grow, powerful things happen.

And something I hear from so many high-achieving women in those rooms is this:

“Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one struggling with self-doubt.”

You’re not.

That’s exactly why we created this next experience.

More than 20 years ago, KC BizFest began with a vision: to help young people believe they could become entrepreneurs, leaders, and change-makers in their communities.
Year after year, we come together — mentors, volunteers, educators, and students — to build something bigger than a program. We build confidence, possibility, and community.
Watching these students pitch their ideas and step into their voice reminds me why this work matters so much.
Grateful for the people who help capture these moments so the impact lives on beyond the week.
Muchas Gracias a for documenting the heart of KC BizFest so beautifully.
The ripple effects of this program will continue for generations. 💜.

Today I’m reflecting on the incredible women who surround my life.
The women who show up to workshops ready to grow.
The women building businesses, leading teams, and holding families together.
The women who support each other, uplift each other, and remind each other that we don’t have to do it all alone.
Every room I step into reminds me that when women gather with intention, something powerful happens. We share stories, we heal, we learn, and we rise together.
And in the middle of it all is my biggest reminder of why this work matters ,my daughter. Watching her grow up surrounded by strong, courageous women reminds me that the spaces we build today become the examples the next generation will follow.
To every woman who has walked alongside me in this journey — clients, colleagues, mentors, friends, and community! Thank you for being part of the village.
May we continue to support each other, lead with courage, and create spaces where women feel seen, valued, and empowered.
Happy International Women’s Day. 💜

I truly value the Hispanic Development Fund’s commitment to our community especially during stressful times. The work they lead requires heart, resilience, and deep dedication.

In our Calma y Amor workshop, we focused on practical nervous system strategies to support the important work they do every day because helpers deserve care too.

When we care for ourselves, we strengthen the communities we serve. 💜
