Yoga is for everybody and every body!

I hear concerns all the time from people thinking about trying yoga, they think they are too old, too stiff, too large, don't know enough to get started and I get it walking into something new is vulnerable.

But here's what I want you to know: Every single person in our classes was once exactly where you are. Nervous. Wondering. Unsure.

One of our yoga principles is releasing judgement of ourselves and others.
That means when you walk through the door:
👋You are welcomed
🧘‍♀️You're entering a safe space
👏You are supported as you explore your current capabilities
🥳You are celebrated as you work on new ones

No pretzel poses required. No experience necessary. Just you, your breath, and a willingness to begin.

"I'm too stiff for yoga.
"I'd be the only one who doesn't know what they're doing."
"Yoga is for flexible people, not me."

Sound familiar? If you've ever talked yourself out of trying yoga because you felt too stiff, too out of shape, or too inexperienced, this episode is for you.

Here's what I want you to know: Stiffness isn't a barrier to yoga. It's one of the best reasons to start.

Think about what happens when stiffness goes unaddressed. You move less because it feels harder. Moving less creates more stiffness, and more stiffness leads to decreased mobility. It's a cycle of decline that can lead to losing your independence all together.

That progression doesn't have to be your story.

Learn to move with intension, not just momentum.

In our Fusion Yoga classes we practice more than poses. We practice moving with conscious intention rather than mindless momentum.

What's special about our approach?

- Every movement begins with asking: "What does my body need right now?"
-We practice poses that keep our bodies functional and our help us live independent lives. Instead of practicing the poses that look cool in pictures on social media.
-Focus on quality of attention, functional form to fit each student's body, finding moment to moment awareness.
-Build the skill of listening to what truly matters in your body and your life.
