We are pleased to highlight Deo Bacarra as our march employee of the month. He is one of our extremely talented cooks here in the Madison Kitchen. Deo is originally from Calapan City, Philippines where he spent his childhood and young adult life. Although challenging, he moved to the United States with his wife when he was just 23 years old. His mother-in-law has always been a key inspiration in his cooking journey, while continuing to spread her recipes by cooking for us. Deo’s favorite hobbies are watching tv and getting in some light cardio for daily exercise. If he could switch his department for one day, he said he’d enjoy working with maintenance. One of the biggest accomplishments to him is his success of being able to provide for his family and support them whenever they need help. He’s known for his congeniality, consistently delicious soups and for being able to make just about anyone smile. Thank you so much Deo, for being you.

We are pleased to introduce you to our March resident of the month, Virginia “Ginny” Fries. Ginny was born and raised here in Orlando Florida and is 1 of 6 siblings. She later grew up to be a secretary for the vice president of George Stuart Inc. for over 30 years. Her parents owned the Fries Lumber Yard located in Winter Park Florida where her dad would work. Her favorite hobby still is spending quality time with her family no matter what the activity is. Ginny also loves ice cream, a memory from her past being that she would churn it from scratch and be rewarded with the yummy treat. Music is another hobby of hers. Ginny briefly learned how to play the piano in her youth and continues to share her music with us. She has endless stories to tell and is always looking out to help someone, thank you Ginny for everything you do!
