It’s been awhile since we’ve posted an FTPC patient win so today seems like a great day to share one!

One of our patients was paying $4 per month at their pharmacy for their osteoporosis medication. While that price wasn’t terrible, they knew we might be able to get it even cheaper so they reached out to their Dr to check. Luckily for them, we were able to save even more money thanks to our negotiated medication rates. Rather than paying $4 for 1 month of their medication, we were able to cut their costs down to $4 for 3 months!

No matter how great or small, we love being able to save our patients money on healthcare costs. This is the Direct Primary Care difference. 🌳💚

This patient has been struggling with chronic knee pain over the last few years with minimal improvements from medications, bracing and steroid injections. Luckily for him, here at Family Tree, we don’t stop trying to find a solution just because something else didn’t work.

Today was his second injection of sodium hyaluronate which helps to improve the lubrication of your knee joints to reduce discomfort and inflammation. This is particularly helpful for patients suffering from osteoarthritis who do not meet indications for surgery.

While the medication itself is not included in our monthly memberships, this patient still saved money by not having any additional co-pays or procedural fees thanks to Direct Primary Care. 💚🌳

Our office is closed today while we celebrate the holiday with our families but we’re sure our colleagues over at the hospitals would appreciate not seeing you tonight. 😉 While they are very lovely people to get to know, visiting them under specific circumstances such as these isn’t the way we’d recommend your introduction.

Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor medication primarily prescribed to treat high blood pressure. Lisinopril blocks the hormones responsible for constricting blood vessels which, in turn, relaxes the blood vessels to help lower blood pressure. It also reduces the production of aldosterone - the hormone responsible for regulating salt and water levels in the body. As we all know, while delicious, salt isn’t always our body’s (or our heart’s) best friend. 😉

Lisinopril is one of the most commonly prescribed medications in the United States according to the National Health Network. Our members are able to get the medication that they need while saving money each month using our in-house pharmacy. All without insurance approval or a GoodRx coupon. 💚

One of the benefits to Family Medicine is the opportunity to establish relationships with the family as a whole unit rather than just with the individual members separately. What a week of big milestones we’ve had with our pediatric patients! This rockstar of ours started out here at just 2 months old and this week we got to celebrate her turning a big 3️⃣ years old! It’s so fun watching our pediatric patients grow into their own people and seeing how their personalities evolve over time. As get to know our patients, we better learn how to make their visits with us as fun as possible so that future trips to the doctor are as stress-free as possible! 💚

Our goal as physicians has always been to take care of our patients with the same level of care that we would give to our own families. Neither of us went into medicine with the desire to only see you for ten minutes to then rush you out of the room and spend more time on your paperwork than we did with you during your visit. Unfortunately, this is very much the reality of the healthcare system set in place, and we struggled in creating the practice we had always envisioned with these limitations working against us.

It wasn’t until we began researching the Direct Primary Care model that we knew the hopes we had to deliver quality care to our patients could, in fact, exist. With this model, we remove insurance from the equation, which allows us to be able to see you on the day that you need care, spend more time with you and offer affordable, top-of-the-line healthcare. All of this guarantees that each visit is truly about you as a whole rather than just the symptoms you arrive with. You are more than a ten minute visit and you deserve care that assists you in living up to your fullest potential.

This practice isn’t just about our goals, it’s about your goals. This isn’t just about a quick visit when you’re sick, it’s about establishing lifelong relationships.
