March is Women's History Month. It is a time to honor the women who have made significant sacrifices and contributions to society in both the past and present. We are so proud of all the women at the SCSO for the sacrifices they make every day to keep our community safe.

This Women’s History Month, OCSO is highlighting the remarkable women of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office who make a difference every day.

Today, we’re featuring Lindsey Miller, a Crime Scene Investigator in our Forensics Unit.

As a CSI, Lindsey responds to crime scenes, documents evidence, processes findings, and helps piece together the puzzle that brings cases closer to resolution.

“It’s like a real-life puzzle that challenges you to think outside the box,” she says. “It’s exciting to be part of something so impactful.”

Lindsey says it’s important to highlight women in forensics — a field where attention to detail, multitasking, and teamwork are critical.

She also shares that one of the biggest challenges is balancing motherhood with a demanding career.

“It’s hard to leave your kids after already being gone all day,” she says. “And child-related cases can hit differently when you’re a parent.”

The Tampa Housing Authority is awarding $12,000 to entering and first-year college students, disbursed in $3,000 increments over four years, through its EFFORTS Scholarship Program.

EFFORTS stands for “Educational Funding For Our Residents To Succeed”

The EFFORTS Scholarship Program is funded 100% by Tampa Housing Employees and is available to all Tampa Housing Authority families receiving housing assistance, including housing vouchers.

The Titusville Police Department is proud to announce that four of our newest officers have officially joined the Patrol Division.

These officers were sponsored by our agency to attend the Eastern Florida State College Law Enforcement Academy in the summer of 2025. After graduating in late December, they successfully completed extensive in-house training here at TPD.

On February 23, 2026, they transitioned to the Patrol Division, where they will begin the next phase of their development in our 14-week Field Training Program. During this hands-on training, they will work alongside experienced Field Training Officers as they continue building the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to serve our community at the highest level.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication to reaching this milestone.
