I often hear jokingly, "Sure, I tried acupuncture. What could it hurt?"

There's a difference between interest and training.

There are some well meaning people "acupuncturing."
I don't think they know acupuncture can be done poorly.

Remember the Tulsa lady who was performing dentistry out of an apartment?

Or the woman who was microblading eyebrows in her garage? 😱

Safe acupuncture isn't just about cleanliness and knowing anatomy.
It's also about point selection.

Any modality that can assist with healing, can potentially harm.

Spring is the season of expansion!

But libido doesn't rise just because the weather changes.

Hi, I'm Renee.

Before I ever practiced this medicine, I tried it.
And in my typical fashion,
I researched acupuncture,
EXTENSIVELY.

"There's something really great here!"
But like anesthesia, we don't really know how it works...yet.

I had my first treatment.
A trial treatment.

I was woozy when I sat up.
I can't say I noticed my symptoms improved.
But I slept very well that night.

Something changed.
Something definitely changed.
And this was just my first appointment.

And it occured to me, acupuncture is different with different Acupuncturists.
After all,
Some massage therapists are better at XYZ than others.
Some doctors are better at XYZ than others.
Some mechanics are better at XYZ than others...

I decided to learn Acupuncture myself.
"I could be really great at this."
So, I went back to school.
(more than one school actually)

If you've tried acupuncture and didn't have noticeable results,
that doesn't mean it didn't work.

It might mean you need a different Acupuncturist.
