‘On the road with DrKathy’ is getting ready to have a busy month! Today has us close to home at the annual Pharmacy School Preceptor Conference in Owasso. Oklahoma is blessed with two fantastic pharmacy schools, the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in OKC, and Southwestern Oklahoma State College of Pharmacy in Weatherford. I have been privileged to support the development of pharmacists as a preceptor for over 30 years. It is so wonderful to see the ‘generations’ of students we have influenced go out into the world and make a difference for our patients.

I was a freshman trumpet player and the first game that I ever marched in was this little OU/Texas game in the Cotton Bowl. From the half red, half orange stadium to the grass that I slightly slipped on as we ran onto the field, these memories are some of my most vivid and cherished. The Pride of Oklahoma 1985 was an amazing band.

One of the lasting sounds and memories from the annual matchup at the Cotton Bowl is the Pride of Oklahoma's music filling the stadium after first downs, touchdowns and big moments.
