When I wake up in the morning, gets me outta bed;
Keeps me runnin', skippin', jumpin', like a little kid.
You know sometimes I can hardly keep it inside,
It overtakes me, overwhelms me, and I'm more alive.
Did not get it from any woman or man,
And it's okay if they don't always understand.
It's very easy to get caught in circumstance.
It's even easier to break out in a dance.
Joy!
Unspeakable joy!
'Cause they did not give it, and they cannot take it away!
Joy!
Unspeakable joy!
In my heart and I can't let them steal my joy!
Unspeakable joy!
Because they did not give it, and they can not take it away!
Because we all need to hear this more often than we know, especially If you've ever lost every part of yourself...
If you've left your heart on a lonely avenue....
It will be only a matter of time....
Before your life comes through for you. 🤗
You have value. You have worth. And neither are contingent upon someone else’s shortsighted valuation of you. Trust the voices of those who cherish you. They will guide you to safer shores and help you find your way back home. And for all those tormented souls who may be contemplating su***de tonight or feeling disparaged from interpersonal violence and familial betrayal, and especially for those children sd young adults out there who feel the adults in your life have let you down and all but demolished what little bit vulnerable self worth you had left....You do matter. You are important. You have a whole life ahead of you.
And no matter what you have been led to believe through lies and manipulation, You ARE perfect just the way you are. No matter what your ex(s) may say or attempt to destroy in you, or how they may discredit you, or bully, or savagely disabuse you of contentment by ruining the small remanded sense of hope for a bright future you had remaining...remember this :....you have always and will always be enough. Your life may be low now and your heart filled with toil, but this too will pass. Our soul’s light was made to shine and illuminate the path ahead, where all roads lead us to paradise, a nirvana of rainbow colored crystals and endless fields made of ruby red wildflowers and horizons of silver glass. They can’t take it away....the unspeakable joy from you as they didn’t give it to you. So it is not theirs to take.
And your self esteem is not based on anyone else but you and how you see yourself. And how/if your parents heard you, understood you, and cared for you. But more importantly than any of those three ….did your mom and or dad SEE you. If so, your self worth is most likely solidified and intact. Maybe hiding at times. But it’s there. Pray. You are a child of God; and His countenance will continue to shine upon you and hold you in His favor, now and forever.
And JUST(!) in case you need it, I have a hug and a smile energetically so, for you. Just ask. And m&m’s. and sometimes even (ok lots of times) extemporaneous high kicks, toe touches, and if I’m not in a suit, maybe a split (happened today out of the blue while frolicking in the sun lol). A sense of humor saves us. (and me falling into a split is no joke.). The magic just happens when it happens- I can’t control it. It’s creative. It’s life affirming. It’s soul-stirring.
Join me and loud live and In color…. “show the world who you are.” But mostly, believe in yourself because it’s ALL true.. You ARE enough.❤️
