“They still aren’t saying it in conversation”. Many families share this concern when we are working on speech sounds. While the goal is always eventually to use the sound in spontaneous conversation without them having to think about it, we have to focus on the more simple situations first. Practicing their targets at the level they begin to struggle in is important before moving to more complex ones. 🩵
