My article was finally published! Ironic that it should happen the week that I’m closing this chapter to move into my practice with Essentia Health Integrative medicine, Duluth. However, the feelings haven’t changed; only the location.

16 years ago you gave me the side eye when I opened my little acupuncture space, but we’ve become friends and I will miss you!
In January I’ll be joining the Integrative medicine clinic at Essentia Health in Duluth. (Idk who thought January was a good time to move north!). A new challenge for sure, but one I’m excited to accept.
I’ll continue to see clients through December at both locations, tapering to only my home space for 2 weeks in January. Come see me before I go!

Retreats seem out of reach for some. You might be an introvert, are concerned about the cost, or are fearful of travel. All valid concerns! As a solo traveler I make friends, learn how to navigate and gain way more than the cost (although I choose wisely). This one met its goal, ”Awaken the heart”. We sang, danced, practiced and talked countless hours without ever having met each other before! The world is full of good people! Be in the Bhav:)

Dip out, disappear, stretch your mind and body, sing until your mind goes silent. For years I’ve bumped up against Kundalini yoga but never chose to drop in until now. Mind blown! Truly the medicine I need. Last week was effort, laughter, sleeping in the treetops & waking to chant. It was tarantula’s, coati, short showers, long talks and the pleasure of flip flops. It was people who desire to be happy on life not alcohol, screens or drugs. Love is everywhere.

Acupuncturists are the experts regarding acupuncture. Makes sense, right? Western medical doctors aren’t trained in acupuncture or herbal medicine which means they are not able to make informed decisions regarding acupuncture. Acupuncturists are fully committed to staying within their scope of practice because 1) your safety is paramount 2) We love what we do and would never risk the loss of our license.

Moon Festival is the Asian celebration of a bountiful harvest, the beauty of the Full moon, reflection, unity and gratitude. I gathered my own bits of reflection in a photo collage. Enjoy!

Educate yourself about other cultures! Shop at markets, eat the food, read authors, watch movies and if you can, TRAVEL! Small minds are often sad minds. Experiencing life through the lens of others is such a fun and curious practice.
