Our residents got creative with a festive “Flowerpot Apple” craft! They painted flowerpots red and topped them with a lid, stem, and leaf to create adorable apple-themed decorations — perfect for the season!

The music she shared was truly a little taste of heaven and she even played an original piece she wrote herself.

Our team member Carol brought in a couple of her beautiful horses for a special visit and it was a huge hit! Residents and team members alike enjoyed the chance to pet and feed them some tasty apple treats.

This month, we celebrated summer with a lively carnival event right here at Ecumen Brooks and it was a blast! Residents enjoyed five exciting carnival games, guessing jars, and special prizes for everyone.

We were once again so grateful to have 11 amazing American Heritage Girls join us to run the games. Their energy, kindness, and enthusiasm helped make the day extra special and they did a fantastic job making sure everyone went home a winner!

New this year: a sweet bunny named Lilac made her debut! Brought by Grace, the daughter of our maintenance team member Mike, Lilac quickly became a crowd favorite and even made friends with our resident cat, Trap.

After the fun, we wrapped up the afternoon with delicious warm pretzels, mini donuts, and fresh lemonade, all lovingly prepared by our incredible Dining Director, Dominique.

It was a joyful afternoon filled with laughter, treats, and community, the perfect way to celebrate alongside the Steele County Free Fair!

Residents and team members at Ecumen Brooks were recently blessed by a heartfelt gesture from our very own housekeeper, Deb, and her friend Heather.

The two generously donated a beautiful collection of handmade cards for everyone to enjoy. Each person was invited to take home 3–5 cards for free!

Thank you, Deb and Heather, for sharing your creativity and kindness. It’s thoughtful acts like these that make Ecumen Brooks such a special place to live and work.

In honor of the Steele County Free Fair this week, Ecumen CountrySide hosted our annual CountrySide Carnival!

Residents enjoyed playing mini carnival games for prizes and had a great time posing with fun props at the photo booth. Afterwards, everyone indulged in delicious fair-themed treats like mini donuts, chocolate malts, and onion rings!

Fair Week is always a blast at Ecumen CountrySide!
