While most classes will build balance, strength, and mind/body discipline, Yin is its opposite. It is quiet, slow, and allows space for the nervous system to be soothed. In this practice, we are able to soften into a state of relaxation, and a deeper stretch. If you find that your body holds onto tension, it's time to sit in the process of unwinding.
