When it comes to losing weight, one size does NOT fit all!
We are all different in so many ways and what works for your friends, relatives and co-workers may not work for you at all.
It's extremely frustrating when you see someone lose weight, ask them how they did it, follow their plan religiously and don't lose a pound!
Our bodies are very complex and you may need to try several plans to see what works for you. Of course you will need to follow the plan the way it is designed and not cheat or you will not know if it works.
When trying a diet plan keep a daily food journal. I can't stress to you how important this is. People think they are following a program correctly but when they write everything (and I mean everything) down, it is usually a wake up call. People over eat daily and don't even realize it. Once you master a plan that works well for you, you won't need to journal as often.
Take a look at the US News diet plans link and see if there is one that fits your needs. Losing weight and getting healthier is work. You need to do the research, ask questions, experiment with different plans. There is no easy fix. Put the work in and you will see results.
Always ask your doctor before you start any new diet plan especially if you are on medications and/or have health concerns.
