Please join us in congratulating Linda Neal, one of amazing restorative aides, for being recognized by the Alabama Nursing Home Association (ANHA) during National Careers in Aging Month! We are incredibly grateful to have Linda as part of our SHNRC Team.

🤝 As part of National Careers in Aging Month, ANHA is proud to highlight dedicated professionals across Alabama who make a difference in long-term care every day. We begin this year's monthlong series by recognizing Linda, a Restorative CNA at South Hampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

With 25 years as a CNA — and 13 years serving at South Hampton — Linda is dedicated to helping residents remain as independent as possible while brightening their days in even the smallest ways. She originally planned to pursue nursing school but chose to remain a CNA because she simply loves the work.

Thank you, Linda, for your compassion, teamwork, and steady commitment to Alabama’s long-term care residents. 💙

📣EXCITING NEWS: Our WiFi is getting a much needed UPGRADE!
With the rise in popularity & use of streaming & Roku TVs, our WiFi has struggled to keep up with the demand placed on it. We are thrilled to announce our WiFi is being upgraded. This should be completed in approximately 2 weeks.

Had the best time helping with bingo at Paint Rock Senior Center! There were smiles, laughter, & friendly competition. We are so grateful for the opportunity to spend time with such a wonderful group & continue building strong connections in our community.

2026 marks a major milestone for the Alabama Nursing Home Association — 75 years of advocating for quality long-term care and supporting providers across our state.

Throughout the year, we’ll be celebrating this anniversary with special initiatives, including:
✨ 75 Stories of Care: a member challenge highlighting the people and moments that define long-term care in Alabama
🏆 The return of ANHA Awards and the launch of our first-ever Hall of Fame
🎊 Anniversary recognitions and celebrations at our Annual Convention in September
