Today was one for the books! ☀️🎣

Our day program spent the day at the lake enjoying some fresh air, fishing, playing games, and sharing a picnic together. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and even a few great catches!

Moments like these remind us how important it is to connect with nature, with each other, and with our community. 💛

🍔🔥 Battle of the Bacon Jams: Burger Week Showdown! 🔥🍔

Today at Commonwealth Connections, we turned up the heat for a deliciously fun Burger Week competition of our own (round 2 coming Thursday)! It was Team 1 (clients + staff) vs. the Executive Director, Sarah, in the ultimate Battle of the Bacon Jams.

🥓 Team 1 brought the creativity with a bold bacon jam burger served on a doughnut!

🍏 Sarah went for a sweet-and-savory combo: an apple cheddar burger topped with maple bourbon bacon jam

Our clients were the official judges—sampling both creations and casting their votes for the winner…

🏆 And today’s champion: SARAH! 🏆

More than anything, it was a day full of laughter, creativity, and connection—exactly what we’re all about. We love opportunities like this to come together, try new things, and celebrate each other. Can’t wait to see what round 2 brings later this week!

The space is beautiful, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to support the important work happening behind the scenes for our local students, families, and staff. It’s exciting to see continued investment in our schools and our community’s future.

The Owensboro Symphony came to our day training program and led an incredible Drum Works class—full of rhythm, energy, and so many smiles.

Our new logo features intertwined C’s as an homage to community, collaboration, compassion, commitment, and the Commonwealth we proudly serve. Along with a refreshed website, it represents who we are and where we’re going!
