Does WKRBC have a new mascot?

We’ve named our new resident groundhog Gerry, and he seems to be enjoying his home next to the Bloodmobile.

The good news is that if he sees his shadow, we know that doesn’t mean six more weeks of blood shortages because our donors have us covered 😉

Each April, the medical community celebrates Laboratory Professionals Week, and our own laboratory staff here at WKRBC epitomizes the very commitment and dedication that calls for celebration.

Our lab team handles infectious disease testing, labeling, distribution, inventory management, and so much more. And not only that, but they're also on 24-hour call in times of need!

With tremendous responsibility on their shoulders, they always show up and their devoted work keeps our local community healthy and area blood supplies met.

We truly have the best MLS, MLTs and lab assistants hands down! Help us thank Shawna, Piper, Amy, Mary,
