Dr. Kiesha Nicole Benn is on a mission to save mothers and babies from poor pregnancy outcomes using personalized education and treatment plans. Dr. Benn is double board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology, practicing for more than 15 years. Her areas of focus include preconception risk assessment; management of weight, hypertension, diabetes, prevention of stillbirth; prevention of preterm birth; and management of postpartum complications. She aims to provide transparent, nurturing, high-quality care.

Dr. Benn is a mother and no stranger to having complicated pregnancies. She said she has personally experienced pregnancy challenges due to preeclampsia and being overweight. She knows both her medical expertise and personal experience impact her patients.. We're excited to have her share her expertise at this event! The fetal ejection reflex, also known as the Ferguson reflex, is when the body “expels” a baby involuntarily — that is, without forced pushing on your part.

Did you know your body can birth your baby without having to physically push?

Often compared to the feeling of throwing up, fetal ejection reflex is completely involuntarily.
