Try to consume a serving of dark, leafy greens and/or legumes each day.

23. Black Beans
24. Romaine Lettuce
25. Black-Eyed Peas
26. Sunflower Seeds

Essential Fatty acids have long ago been removed from our foods to help lengthen the shelf life.

However, essential fatty acids like EPA/DHA are essential for brain development and health.

They reduce inflammation and help cell regeneration.

Fatty acids are common in whole grains and fish, you can find fatty acids in the following foods. Try to eat fish two to three times a week and seeds and nuts daily.

30. Mackerel
31. Tuna
32. Flaxseeds
33. Walnuts
34. Soybeans
35. Shrimp
36. Tofu
37. Chia seeds
38. H**p seeds

Eating a healthy diet rich in whole grains, fish, seeds, leafy greens, fruits and veggies will likely provide you with all the brain powering nutrients you need.

If you have difficulty consuming fish and whole grains consider taking a fish oil supplement so you do get the fatty acids your body needs.

It has been a pleasure to work for Owensboro Family YMCA as a Nutritionist and Fitness Instructor.

As a nutrition consultant, my primary duties are to establish short and long-term health goals for clients, teach members about health and nutrition, and develop effective plans for nutrition/fitness combination.

This year, we offered a 3-day Detox Series with a meal plan, recipes, and sample smoothies, and we also emphasized detox yoga exercises in the program. As a fitness/yoga Instructor, I make training essential in the nutrition plan.
It's fun and challenging to do different series like, Love Your Heart, Detox Yoga, Exercises for the Lymphatic System, Boost Your Immunity, and Core Exercises.

Fall is here! it's a season of change,

Fall in love with taking care of yourself for a better & healthier you.

**Meeting one-on-one with a Certified Nutritionist will help hold you accountable and provide you with the face-to-face encouragement and support you need.

Perfect Homemade Noodle Soup 🍲...ahhh👌❤️ made with hearty vegetables, chicken breast, herbs & garlic, and egg noodles! Another family’s favorite Fall soup.🧡

*Easy to make: Boil cut up chicken breast with 4 cups of water, add slice of carrots & celery, spices- seasoned salt, pepper, garlic powder, and herbs -oregano, basil, parsley. Cook until vegetables are tender. Add the wide noodles. Boil for couple minutes, then simmer. Add more broth if needed, season to taste.

It's comforting & keeps you warm inside.❤️
