Positive Behavior Support Specialist

Seeking a part time contractor to provide positive behavior supports for the MPW and SCL waivers. Location would include Henderson and Owensboro.

Required: Master’s degree in a behavioral science; Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Counseling, Special Education with an emphasis in behavior, etc. Two years of experience working with people diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Preferred: Experience with behavioral programming/interventions (running plans), writing functional analysis and behavior supports plans, training staff, collecting and analyzing data.

Job Types: Part-time (Contract); potential to build caseload
Pay: $65 - $93 per hour

***** Positive Behavior Support Specialist Contractor Position ******

Seeking a part time to possible full time contractor to provide positive behavior supports to those under the MPW and SCL waivers both in home and in clinic. Location would include Henderson and Owensboro.

Positive Behavior Supports are used when there is a need to develop a plan which identifies prevention strategies to reduce significant challenging behaviors which interfere with activities of daily living, social interaction or work. The plan will instruct on replacement skills and new ways to respond to the challenging behaviors

"Positive behavior support specialist" means an individual who; Provides evidence-based individualized interventions that assist a participant with acquisition or maintenance of skills for community living and behavioral intervention for the reduction of maladaptive behaviors

Required: master’s degree in a behavioral science with one year behavioral programming and direct service experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Counseling or any behavioral science degree. Training and support provided as well as supervision if required for licensure.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time (Contract)

Pay: $25.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Behavior Associates is dedicated to providing extensive supervision and direction for our RBTs and their clients. This position creates treatment plans and supervises RBTs to carry out those treatment plans to help clients be successful in everyday life.
