Dr. Kay Corpus’ approach to medicine involves uncovering the root cause of illness and disease, which, she believes, is essential to living well and in full vitality. In her clinical practice, she and her patients work together to illuminate how pathology occurs as a result of emotional, psychological, and spiritual imbalances. She elicits the act of personal story-telling from her patients through deep self-inquiry in order to help identify stuck emotion and energy beneath the symptoms and illness. Consequently, this clarifies their truth then liberates the soul. It is this essential process which cultivates and enhances the healing process. She believes that our biology is truly a result of our biography. Dr. Corpus combines the best of all worlds of healing-yoga, meditation, supplements, whole foods nutrition, homeopathy, Ayurveda, psychotherapy, energy medicine, bodywork, and conventional medicine, when appropriate-to arrive at an individual, comprehensive, and holistic treatment plan for her patients. Dr. Corpus is a board-certified Family Physician specializing in Integrative and Functional Medicine. She is also a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Dr. Corpus completed her family medicine residency at Penn State Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA, a two-year Integrative Medicine fellowship with Andrew Weil, MD through the University of Arizona and training with Mark Hyman, MD with the Institute of Functional Medicine. She lives in Owensboro, KY with her beautiful family. Dr. Corpus is now a certified practitioner with the Whole Health Medicine Institute with Lissa Rankin, MD whereby she joins the new generation of visionary physicians in healing patients, communities, health care and humanity one person at a time.

💬 What have your relationships taught you about yourself?
In midlife and menopause, relationships often become mirrors that show us where we still need to heal, forgive, and grow.

This week on the Soul of Menopause Podcast, I talked with Janet Webber about how love and connection can evolve in this season of life and how the relationship we build with ourselves can be the most transformative of all.

✨ I’d love to hear from you:
➡️ What’s one lesson a relationship has taught you in this season of life?
➡️ How has menopause or midlife shifted the way you show up in love?

Drop your reflections below 👇 and let’s keep this important conversation going.

Sisters, here’s something most women are never told: your gut health is deeply tied to your menopause experience.

Your gut has special bacteria (the estrobolome) that help process estrogen. When this system is off, you can feel it. The hot flashes, mood swings, weight shifts, even sleep struggles.

An unhappy gut also fuels inflammation, which can make joint pain, fatigue, and brain fog worse. And since your gut helps produce calming brain chemicals like serotonin, an imbalance can heighten anxiety or irritability.

So how do we love our gut in this season?
✨ Feed it with fiber, fermented foods, and probiotics
✨ Balance meals to steady blood sugar
✨ Drink plenty of water
✨ Keep processed foods to a minimum

When you support your gut, you support your hormones, your mood, and your whole sense of well-being.

💛 And if you’re ready to take a closer look at your own journey, I’d love to walk with you. Check the link in my bio to learn how you can book a personalized Menopause review with me.

So many of us reach midlife wondering: 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙? 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙢 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝?

My guest this week, Janet Webber (.janet), founder of Pure Joy Life Design, believes love isn’t optional, it’s essential. As vital as food and water.

In this Soul of Menopause conversation, Janet shares her journey of grit and grace, and how she now helps others break through old patterns to discover what’s possible in love. Whether you’re single, partnered, or somewhere in between.

Because in midlife and menopause, the most transformative relationship you’ll ever build is the one you have with yourself. 💛

The current medical system often treats perimenopause and menopause like a pathology or something to diagnose, manage, or medicate.

But our ancestors knew better. Across indigenous cultures, post-menopausal women were recognized as leaders, carriers of wisdom, and keepers of community.

Somewhere along the way, we forgot.

Menopause isn’t a disease. It’s a sacred and precious opportunity to find your voice, your power, and your true significance.

So much of what we’ve been taught about health is incomplete. After nearly two decades in medicine, I’ve seen the cracks in our system and I’ve also seen what’s possible when we dig deeper.

✨ Real healing doesn’t happen when we just manage symptoms. It happens when we dare to ask the questions that really matter, when we listen to the stories behind the symptoms, and when we honor the wisdom of the body.

That’s why I created the Soul of Menopause Podcast, a space for the real, honest conversations about women’s health, healing, and what it means to come home to ourselves in midlife and beyond.

Healing isn’t just about fixing symptoms or chasing the “root cause.”

It’s about remembering who we are beneath the layers of survival, perfectionism, and old wounds.

✨ True healing means addressing not only the body, but also the parts of us that have been silenced, unseen, or betrayed.

We’re standing at a crossroads in medicine. The cracks in the old system are showing—but they’re also letting in the light.

What if this moment is our invitation to reimagine healing? To honor both the wisdom of science and the wisdom of the soul?

So many of us know this story too well—pushing harder, giving more, striving for perfect… while quietly running ourselves empty.

This isn’t weakness. It’s the conditioning we’ve carried as women, believing we must always do more, be more, give more. But it comes at a cost to our bodies, our hearts, and our health.

If this feels familiar, you’re not alone. Let’s rewrite this story together.

Here’s the truth: those parts of you are not flaws to fix. They’re your medicine. They’re the very superpowers that will carry you through menopause and beyond.

In this latest episode of the Soul of Menopause Podcast, I share what it really means to reclaim these pieces of ourselves and why honoring them is essential for healing, strength, and stepping into our power.
