Ok…. Please read and remember!! We have Spectrum coming in to do work on Tuesday September 30- they are not supposed to do any phone work but IF you call on Tuesday and have trouble reaching us at the 502-462-094 number- please call my cell # 859-466-6355. I have heard some Spectrum horror stories - just sayin. You know what I mean?…. Ha! Ha!

If you or anyone else knows who can use these JEVITY tube feeds- Kimberly is all done and they sent a lot of them. The nurse for Option Care said they can’t take them back. We also have the hookups with the flushes. We have 136 containers- usually is 4 containers per feeding. If you know anyone who gets tube feedings, we would love to donate these. I am sure insurance paid a lot! Please call the clinic at 502-462-0094. Thank you!!

Well, Kimberly has developed an abdominal abcess along her abdominal wall which is causing her to have a quite a lot of drainage! Loading a trailer full to move,( which I swear Kimberly didn’t do any lifting) and her drainage came out like a fountain- so off to the ER we went and just like that Kimberly will have ANOTHER abdominal surgery tomorrow am to clean out the abcess and the rest of the infection. The Dr was very honest and blunt- this recovery will take months because of how weak she is. Thank you for your prayers!! Updates as they become available!! She is in room 330 at St E Florence.

Long overdue update on Kimberly!!
After searching her abdominal cavity everywhere for the sepsis/ infection- it wasn’t there! Next infection source PIC Line that she was fed thru- it goes to the heart and there was plenty of bacteria in the blood- but they want to make sure that the germs don’t have an apartment complex in her body full of bad germs so now they are doing an MRI of the back followed by an echocardiogram for the heart. Very thankful that the Drs have been very thorough thru this!! She is still in a lot of pain due to the incision in her abdomen as well as her back. She is getting top notch care up here at St E Florence in the ICU. She is in room 12. Has been up in the chair and did very well. Thank you for your prayers. More to follow. Really appreciate and am thankful for all of the prayers! Thank you to my staff at Ziggys PT especially Kaylee Fitzgerald and to Rick Beighle for hanging out Thursday for 3.5 hrs with me during her surgery. So many more people to thank!! You know who you are!! Please continue to keep her in your prayers. It’s going to be a very long road

My apologies to everyone for not updating Kimberly’s status. As most of you know, Kimberly had a gastric(stomach) perforation which resulted in emergency surgery, infection and a very slow stomach leak( picture is her stomach during surgery). Well, it will be 29 days tomorrow that she has not been able to eat or drink. She sees the Surgeon tomorrow and she is dying to hear some positive news tomorrow. It is crazy how watching TV, all you see is food ads, everything revolves around food and drink, even having to put up with me eating- it’s just so super depressing and she is just withdrawing away from people. I want to thank soo many people but feel like I can do it once she is back to some sense of normalcy. Thank you for all the prayers. Hopefully tomorrow we can hear the words “your stomach is not leaking anymore” and get the drain tube pulled along with the feeding tube. Don’t know why things happen but they sure do happen!!

Well, I broke her out of the hospital!! No one was injured but there may have been a legal issue or 2 but bottom line is that Kimberly is home and recovering!! Thank you for everyone’s prayers and support!! Still not allowed to eat or drink!! Appreciate everyone so much!!
