Have you wondered how you can support families caring for a person with Dementia? Care partnership comes in various forms. In this episode, I have listed those who have blessed us over the course of 7 days. There's room for everyone and many timeframes. I’ve learned so much from Dr. Natalie over the years. This episode is so helpful to minimize frustration.

However, I warn you. Dealing with dementia behavior is trial and error. Be patient with yourself and start a list of “go to” distractions and activities that you can pull from when you need them. This list can include ways for you, the direct caregiver, to calm down and think rationally; not react but respond. Once you have your list and you see the behavior starting, pause, take a deep breath, pull out your list, and start working through it. Walk away if you need to.

The grace we’ve been given should be extended to ourselves. It’s not easy. Just take one step at a time.
