Today we had the pleasure of welcoming our partner Ashley from Charlie Health to Hygea Healthcare. 🤝

Ashley met with our President, Program Director, and Zoe as we explored ways to strengthen our partnership and collaborate on operational workflows to expand access to care. We also discussed exciting opportunities around networking, innovation, and technology in the SUD and mental health space. 💡🧠

Beyond the strategy, we shared laughs and a deep passion for this work. We’re excited for Ashley to return and meet our Clinical Director and incredible SUD counselors—because leadership is never siloed. It takes a team and a village. 🌱

Every month our admissions team answers 1,800 calls from people looking for hope.

And every month 115–120 people walk through our doors and into recovery.

Led by these two amazing women, Nicolette and Julia, this team does more than answer phones — they walk the walk, talk the talk, and keep it real.

They live stigma-free and never give up on the next person, because many of us know what it feels like to be stigmatized.

So we keep answering.
And we keep fighting for recovery.

At Hygea Healthcare, we believe fun is part of healing. Our Program Director is big on culture, connection, and making sure our clients experience real joy in recovery.

So we hosted a ping pong tournament… and what started as a little competition turned into hours of laughter, energy, and community after program hours.

Because the truth is:
Recovery can be fun. Recovery can be social. Recovery can be a life you actually enjoy.

When leaders show clients that life can still be good — even while battling hard things — people start believing in themselves again.

Today we honor Black Balloon Day, a day of remembrance for those we have lost to overdose and a day to stand in solidarity with the families, friends, and communities still grieving.

In the work we do every day, we see both the devastation of addiction and the power of recovery. Black Balloon Day reminds us why our mission matters so deeply. Every life lost represents a story, a family, and a future that should have been.

We invite everyone to take a moment of silence today to remember those we have loved and lost.

At Hygea, we continue to show up—for our patients, for their families, and for each other—committed to compassion, evidence-based care, and the belief that recovery is always possible.
