A randomized controlled trial on the effects of dry needling in HIP muscles in patients with HIP osteoarthritis showed statistically significant (p < 0.05) decreased pain intensity, increased hip ROM, and improved physical function following the DN treatment.

What fall risks do you have? Check and see which fall risk factors appy to you:
-over 65 years of age
-more than 3 diagnoses
-taking more than 4 prescriptions: especially cardiac meds, diuretics, diabetes medicine which can affect blood sugar, psychiatric medications such as benzodiazepines (tranquilizers or antianxiety drugs);
-chronic medical conditions
-history of previous falls in the last year
-incontinence; unable to make it to the bathroom in time
-impaired vision
-hard of hearing
-weakness in your hips and leg
-poor posture negatively affects balance
-dizziness/vertigo.
If you have some of these risk factors, you may benefit from a balance assessment. We can help you!
