Purpose, Presence, and Inner Refuge
4 Wednesdays: October 8–29; 10:30–11:45 am
Location: Oxford Community Yoga, 507 S College Avenue, Oxford, OH 45056
In a world marked by change, complexity, and emotional overload, how can we stay rooted in clarity, integrity, and peace? This course explores the yoga of action (Karma Yoga) as taught in the Bhagavad Gita—a timeless guide to living with presence and purpose amidst the demands of life. Each session will open with a 15-minute dharma talk introducing a key theme from the Gita, followed by a 45-minute yoga practice, bringing the teaching into the body through movement, breath, and mindfulness, and close with a 15-minute discussion.
This course is designed for all levels; no prior yoga experience is necessary. Yoga teachers can earn 5 CEUs toward their Yoga Alliance continuing education requirement.
Instructor: Jessica Lohrey, E-RYT 500 and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP)
