Diabetes can cause retina damage that leads to vision loss. Once that happens, it can't be reversed—but it can potentially be prevented with routine eye exams. Eye doctors can take a close look at your eyes to monitor your blood vessels and spot the signs of diabetes complications. In fact, eye exams can even help spot the first signs of diabetes.

Get support for your eye health and overall health with regular eye exams. Schedule your appointment today.

Kids don't always realize they're experiencing a vision problem—and they can't always tell you when they do. Keeping an eye out for the following warning signs can help you support your child's eye health:

⚫ Sitting too close to screens
⚫ Frequent squinting
⚫ Eye rubbing
⚫ Tilting their head
⚫ Crossed eyes
⚫ Light sensitivity
⚫ Trouble reading

If you notice any vision problems affecting your child, it's important to schedule an eye exam. Getting a clear diagnosis and early care can help prevent complications and support your child's long-term health.

Book your child's eye exam today.

You can support your child's physical health, mental health, and eye health with just 13 hours of outdoor time per week—a little under 2 hours a day.

Outdoor time can reduce the likelihood that kids will develop myopia (nearsightedness) and can help slow the progression of myopia for kids who are already affected. Spending time outdoors, away from screens, can also help kids (and their parents) avoid digital eye strain.

Let's support your family's health together. Schedule your eye exams today and get personalized advice based on your child's unique eyes and personality.

What happens if you fall asleep with your contact lenses in?

If you accidentally doze off with your contacts in, gently remove them as soon as you wake up. Sleeping in your lenses can raise your risk of developing eye infections.

Before you drift off to dreamland, take the time to remove your contact lenses and follow the recommended wear and care instructions.

Contact lens prescriptions include specific measurements needed to help determine the right type of contacts and the right fit for your eyes.

BC (base curve) refers to the shape and size of contact lens needed to fit the curve of your cornea.
DIA (diameter) is a measurement of the width needed for your contacts to cover your cornea.

A contact lens prescription might also include information about the brand we recommend and the expiration date for your contacts. The corrective power for your lenses might also differ for your contacts because they sit directly on your eye rather than slightly in front like traditional glasses lenses.
