Rest was something I used to feel guilty about…
Until I learned that rest is where true healing takes place.
Those moments when you just sit, breathe, and enjoy something you love, that’s when your nervous system finally feels calm.
Once that happens, thousands of little processes get notified by your nervous system to start up again, and through these, tissue healing and repair begins which can contribute to the health of every organ and system throughout the body.
So taking a break isn’t always laziness, it’s one of the best things you can allow your body to experience. 🤍
