Our feet can hold onto so much tension and you may not even realize it.....until its too late and those dogs are barking at you in pain.😱😢
Yes! It's true, you hold tension in those little feet muscles far longer than before the "it hurts" signal gets to your brain. That signal is the body screaming at you to "PAY ATTENTION!"
My job as a Licensed Massage Therapist is to help you recover from whatever is causing the "body screams" but ALSO help you to better prevent them😊
Our feet are our foundation. It's important to take few minutes every day to care for them.
Every part of our feet correlates to a body part or organ. If your feet are not relaxed, your body is not stable. Your gait(walking) will be off, pain will become apparent in different parts of your body and feelings of misery will surface.
Below is an example of one of the "homework" exercises I give to my clients. It's a great way to relax in the evening before going to bed. You can do this seated as you unwind from your busy day, vegging out watching your favorite show.
If you feel "puffy" in your feet, you can replace the ball with a frozen water bottle.
If you feel tender spots while rolling, hold the ball (or bottle) in that spot with a slight pressure(not to much to make it hurt worse) until the tenderness eases, then continue to roll around again. Make sure you get up under the toes too and stretch those ...feels sooooooo good!!
*Also very important....breath from the diaphragm to get that internal "relax mode" button turned on😊
If you would like a demo of how to properly engage your diaphragm to get that relaxing sequence breathing, comment below.
If you haven't tried this foot exercise, please do and come back and comment how it felt for you!😊
Also...if you would like to come see me for a relaxing session to work on your feet that benefits the ENTIRE body, YES!! I CAN DO THAT😊
🌟Schedule a WELLNESS REFLEXOLOGY session.🌟
