🚧 Parking Lot Update 🚧

Our parking lot was resurfaced last night and is still drying this morning, so our drive-thru will be temporarily closed. We’re hoping it will be fully dry and ready to reopen later today — we’ll post an update as soon as it is!

In the meantime, our front entrance is open and you’re welcome to come inside as usual. Thank you for your patience while we make these improvements!

We had the privilege of welcoming Representative Randy Wood (District 36) to Martin's Pharmacy.

Our team was honored to present him with a contribution from the Alabama Pharmacy Association’s Political Action Committee (PAC) in appreciation of his support for the Community Pharmacy Relief Act (SB252), a crucial piece of legislation that protects and empowers independent pharmacies like ours.

We are sincerely grateful for state leaders like Representative Wood, whose support of advocacy for our profession helps us continue providing high-quality care to our patients and communities

Everyone help us congratulate one of our incredible certified pharmacy technicians, Denise Smith, on being nominated AND selected as the 2025 Pharmacy Technician of the Year by the Alabama Pharmacy Association (APA)!

Denise has been a pharmacy technician since 1996 and has spent the last 16 years serving patients here at Martin’s Pharmacy. She consistently goes above and beyond in her role and is deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient she encounters.

We’ve always known how exceptional Denise is and how fortunate we are to have her on our team, but it’s truly special to see her dedication recognized at the state level.

If you see her around, be sure to congratulate her on this well-deserved and HUGE accomplishment!

📣 Attention, Alabama Residents and Supporters of Independent Pharmacies! 📣

A new Senate bill, SB93 - "The Patient Access Bill", has been introduced that could have a huge impact on the future of independent community pharmacies here in Alabama. This bill aims to ensure fair reimbursement for independent pharmacies like ours.

Why is this important?

👉 PBMs have too much control over reimbursement rates, often leaving small, independent pharmacies struggling to stay afloat with below cost reimbursement.
👉 Fair reimbursement means we can continue to provide quality, affordable care and services to our community without financial strain.
👉 Your voice can make a difference! By contacting your state legislative representatives, you can help ensure this bill gets the support it needs to pass and bring positive change to our local pharmacies.

Here's what you can do to help:

Contact your state legislative representative and let them know you support the bill.
Ask them to stand with independent pharmacies by supporting this reform.
Spread the word – The more people who speak up, the better!

Together, we can ensure that our community pharmacies remain a trusted and accessible resource for everyone!

SB93 – The Patient Access Bill was introduced in the Alabama Senate today. PBMs and big business interests will do everything in their power to kill it, so your advocacy is critical. This bill will benefit every Alabamian. Tell your legislators, visit them in person, mobilize everyone in your community to do the same. We are stronger together!
