With a PhD in Clinical S*xology, Kana addresses a wide range of issues, and believes that healthy sexual expression is a vital component of overall wellness. Whether you are seeking to deepen your understanding of your sexual self, improve your relationship, or address specific concerns, Kana is dedicated to helping you achieve a fulfilling and authentic sexual life.

Kana holds certifications from the American Association of S*xuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and the Modern S*x Therapy Institute (MSTI) as a Certified S*x Therapist. Kana is the AASECT Section Head for Mississippi and is also a member of the International Board of S*xuality Professionals.

Kana is deeply committed to supporting the well-being and empowerment of gender and sexually diverse minorities. She is an affirming therapist who understands the core issues of trauma, violence, family of origin, and internal/external conflict that impact this population.

Meet Lauren:

Life can be unexpected and difficult at times. I believe that lifeโ€™s challenges provide an opportunity for us to know ourselves more fully, by discovering our inner strengths and creating positive change for a more fulfilling life. It is my goal to provide a safe space for healing and growth by using a compassionate and honest approach that empowers you to live an authentic life full of purpose and meaning.

I believe the relationship between client and therapist to be one of collaboration, trust, and non-judgment. As your therapist, I will work with you to identify what a life of fulfillment and joy looks like for you and support and empower you in reaching your short- and long-term goals.

Since 2016, I have worked in adult residential treatment and outpatient settings as a case manager, therapist, and program director. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, codependency, substance use and recovery, self-esteem, boundaries and communication, and complex family dynamics.

Weโ€™re closely monitoring the potential for winter weather early next week, particularly for Monday, January 26.

At this time, we plan to remain open, but we want you to know that telehealth is always an option if you feel safer staying home.
