Next up on our "Meet the Bluebird Hospice Team" is Melissa Munson CNA. Melissa has been a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 25 years and has been providing Hospice Care for 8 of those. Melissa choose healthcare because she has always wanted to care and be there for people in need. The thing that attracted Melissa to hospice care is she loves spending time with her patients and hearing their life stories. Bluebird Hospice has received many compliments on the care Melissa provides and how she always makes her patients feel like part of her own family. Melissa can often be found bringing her patients little treats or gifts to brighten their days. When Melissa isn't at work, she loves to spend time with friends and family. If Melissa could be any animal, she would choose a Butterfly because they are beautiful and free. We love you Melissa! 💜🦋

So grateful that Bluebird Hospice was able to be part of the Oxford Chamber Scholarships. 💙🐦

We are grateful to Genisys Credit Union, Michigan United Credit Union, ClearView Wealth Management, and Bluebird Hospice that partnered with us to award scholarships to Alexis Hobson, Mira Cline, and Madelyn Boyd last night. Each of these students demonstrate strong work ethic, a commitment to service, and a genuine ”giving spirit” within the greater Oxford community.

We also want to recognize the many exceptional students who applied for the scholarship. The selection process was incredibly difficult because of the outstanding character, accomplishments, and community involvement demonstrated by so many applicants. We are proud of all the students who took the time to apply and share their stories.

Bluebird Hospice had the pleasure of taking part in Orion Parks and Rec 50+ Resources Fair last Friday. Our Volunteer Coordinator met some amazing volunteer prospects and our Chaplain found some time to Clown around!

Meet the amazing Bluebird Hospice Team! 💙🐦 First up is Hallie Grech RN, BSN Director of Clinical Services. Hallie has over 12 years experience and chose nursing because she loves how everyday is different but you always make a difference. Her favorite part of providing hospice care is the patients themselves. She states "They have so much knowledge and experience to share with us ". Outside of work she loves to spend time with family and friends and travel the world. If she could be one animal it would be a Sea Turtle because they get to swim and play on the ocean all day.
