Halloween festivities on the Oxford Town Square

Cason Bennett was awarded a trophy and a $50 cash prize for finding the hidden “Golden Zombie” at the Oxford Public Library. He and his family knew “Karen” was a reference to former librarian Karen Tarter. They left the trick or treat they were at and went straight to the library!

Halloween Festivities on the Oxford Town Square: Halloween Parade.

A big THANK YOU to Randy Jones, our fabulous emcee for the evening, our judges who had a difficult job: Miss Benton County: Hannah Bice; 1st Runner-Up: Samantha Rudolph; Junior Miss: Chloe Linder; Junior Miss Princess: Izabella Bauer and Emmi York.

First place receives a trophy and cash prize, and second and third place receives a medal and cash prize. Grand prize receives a trophy and cash prize. Awards provided by the Oxford Lions Club.

Halloween festivities on the Oxford Town Square: Trunk or Treat.
The princesses and castle received the trophy for “best trunk or treat”. Refreshments served from the Gazebo were provided by the Oxford Lions Club and the Market.

Thank you to all who participated in decorating and passing out candy. You made it an extra fun evening!

A new record was set by Caston Bennett tonight. After just one clue and in two hours, Caston found the Golden Zombie at the Oxford Public Library. He and his family knew Karen was a reference to former librarian Karen Tarter. They left the trick or treat they were at and went straight to the Library.

A Golden Zombie has been hidden on public property in the town of Oxford. The prize for finding it will be $50 and a trophy. Remember: 1) It is on public property. 2) There is no need to do anything dangerous to find it. 3) Do not damage any property during your search. Clues at 10AM and 5PM daily until found. Watch out for bonus clues! Good luck!
